AccessTN provides comprehensive health insurance options for uninsurable Tennesseans.
All participants in AccessTN will receive comprehensive health coverage similar to the benefits offered to state employees. Three different plans are available with varying deductibles and participants can select the plan that is best for their situation. Refer to the
benefit plan for more information on covered services.
Participants in AccessTN will pay monthly
premiums for their comprehensive health coverage. The premiums
will be capped at no more than two times the standard market rate
for a similar commercial health insurance plan. Refer to the
premium tables for more information. Premium assistance is available to those individuals with a household income of up to 250% of the federal poverty level who enroll in Plan 1000; however, all premium assistance is in use by current AccessTN members and not available to new applicants at this time. Please see the Premium Assistance page for more information.
The Access Tennessee Act requires that all administrators of health coverage participate in the funding necessary to support the operating losses of the high-risk health insurance pool. AccessTN is currently conducting this assessment. For further information, please see the
FAQ and
Reporting Form.
